Knife River Recreation Center Building
Located at the corner of Church Road and Alger Smith Road
Seats up to 40 people
Handicapped-accessible space
Great for meetings, private gatherings, and social occasions.
Equipped with kitchen, tables, chairs, and more
Knife River Beach Cove
Located off Marina Road
Beach is a great place to picnic, skip rocks, hunt for agates, or simply take a walk down the pebbled beach
There is a parking lot and portable restroom available during the warmer months
No lifeguards on duty so swimming is at your own risk
No overnight camping
No large group events (this including weddings)

Knife River Hiking Trail
The trailheads are located at the end of East Shilhon Road and a mile up Hawk Hill Road
The trail traverses through a variety of tree cover from young to mature forests with wonderful views and access to the upper Knife River
Oden Alreck Baseball and Soccer Fields
Located next to the recreation building
The baseball field has a backstop and bases
The soccer field has two goals with nets
Regulation-sized soccer goals are not set at the regulation distance but can provide great recreation none-the-less

Basketball Court
Located at the far end of the baseball field, along Alger Smith Road
Non-regulation outside court has two baskets and asphalt topping
Lighted for evening play

Peterson Park Playground
Located on the corner of Church Road and Third Ave
Offers picnic tables, swings, slides, and other updated playground equipment
Portable restroom available during the warmer months
John Geist Tennis & Pickleball Court
Located on Church Road next to Peterson Park
Regulation tennis court with an asphalt surface surrounded by a chain link enclosure
Court sports a wind screen for protection from the occasional nor’easter
Lit with metal halide lighting for evening play.
No bikes or skateboards allowed to maintain court's surface.
Ice Rink
Located on next to the Recreation Building
Weather permitting, the ice rink is put in by Christmas.
The Recreation Building entrance serves as a warming house with benches for putting on skates and warming up
Various youth sized skates available to borrow
Two moveable hockey goals allow for informal games on a portion of the ice
The upgraded rink is now 100’x60’ with all new flood lights
Rink closes at 10:00 pm nightly
