Help us raise funds to purchase the campground!
Based on two years of planning and the overwhelming support of its members, the Knife River Recreation Council (KRRC) will be purchasing the campground adjacent to the Knife River Heritage and Cultural Center, in the heart of the village. Following the purchase of the property, the entire community will be invited to help define the future use of the campground property. Please help us secure the future use of the Knife River Campground for the benefit of the community we share.
Our Mission
This organization develops and maintains recreational facilities and opportunities serving the residents of the Knife River area.
The Knife River Recreation Council is a volunteer-led nonprofit. We're not a town council, which means there's no municipal budget backing what we do. Everything you see is made possible through grants, memberships, donations, and the hands-on effort of neighbors who show up because they care about this place. If you've ever searched for agates at the beach, walked the trail, or sat for a lecture at the rec center, you've seen that work firsthand.

KRRC Monthly Meetings
KRRC meetings are held every third Thursday of the month at 7pm at the Rec Center. All meetings are open to members of the KRRC. Become a member today!

This place runs on community
Knife River's trails, beach, and programs don't maintain themselves and there's no city budget backing them up. It's memberships, donations, and neighbors showing up that keep this place going. Whether you want to become a member, make a donation, or simply get more involved, you're investing in something real. The kind of place where kids grow up with room to roam and everyone has somewhere to gather. We can't do this without you!
