Rent the Recreation Building
The KRRC Recreation Building at 199 Alger Smith Road is available to rent for private events, community gatherings, classes, and more. The building seats up to 40 people and includes conference tables, chairs, a whiteboard, and a fully equipped kitchen with a range, refrigerator, coffee maker, basic cookware, and cleaning supplies. The facility is handicapped accessible.
KRRC events such as meetings, fundraisers, and programs always have first priority for use of the building. All other rentals are on a space-available basis and must be booked in advance.
Rental Rates
Private Events — Members: $55/day
A benefit of KRRC membership is access to the Recreation Building at a reduced rate. This rate is available to members who are current for the calendar year. Not a member yet? You can pay the annual membership fee at the time of booking and qualify for the member rate for the remainder of the calendar year. Memberships are not pro-rated into the next calendar year.
Private Events — Non-Members: $85/day
The Recreation Building is available to non-members at the standard daily rate. If you plan to rent again during the same calendar year, becoming a member at the time of booking is a cost-effective option.
Community Organization Meetings — No Charge
The KRRC welcomes use of the building by local organizations that provide information or services to the community, particularly those with a recreational focus. Use is subject to board approval, must be arranged in advance, and a damage deposit is still required.
Other Organization Meetings or Events — $85/day
Organizations outside the community are welcome to rent the space at the standard daily rate. Special rates may be available for member-affiliated organizations. Contact us to discuss.
Fundraisers and For-Profit Events — $85/day
When a profit-making event is held, the standard daily rate applies regardless of membership status. Please note that charging admission requires advance approval from the KRRC Board of Directors.
Regular Class Sessions — $20 per 2-hour block
Instructors offering recurring weekly or scheduled classes pay a per-block rate rather than a daily rate. Each block covers a minimum of two hours.
